Everything Must Change

It’s about time for me to blog on the Emergent experience once again. I am writing from the “Everything Must Change” Tour with Brian McLaren.  This  conference has been really interesting thus far and Brian seems to be very sincere and heartfelt- not only in his message, but also in the way he relates with people he barely knows. Had I known nothing of this man before we met the other night, I would have thought him to be a true representative of kindness. Thanks Brian for all you do! Sojourners is here. The Sierra Club is here. The One Campaign…Wake Forrest Div….Mars Hill Grad…and so on and so forth…I bought a copy of “A Community Called Atonement” and got a free copy of “Everything Must Change”…. sweet.
On a slightly more depressing note, I have not slept well all week and had to wake up at 4am this morning to drive to NoDa in Charlotte to set up tarps over the windows of the church so that the power point presentation could be more easily read. I don’t mind though. Beside the church is a place called Area 15 which is a place where artists create beautiful works. Located within the same building is the 24/7 Prayer Room which is equally neat-o. Check out the sites. Seriously. Do It. It’s a Goodness Revolution.

National Youth Worker’s Convention

Well, We are all having a great time down here in the wonderful city of Atlanta (home of the pizza- bagel). We arrived at the Omni Hotel in Atlanta only to find out that we have to pay for Valet Parking (I always thought that was optional). Any way, I hope everything is going well in the outside world. I must now go and enjoy some wonderful sessions. I am hoping to attend Tim Condor’s first Session. I think it will be sweet.

Welcome Back!

Wow…. I haven’t Blogged in forever! Or, at least for about a month. Most of that is due to my laziness. The rest of it is due to one book:

That’s right fellow citizens of Earth… the National Electrical Code. I am prepping hardcore for the second hardest Electrical Code Test in the Nation (second to only California). Only about 25- 30 % of the people who take this test actually pass. Let’s be honest. It’s a beast.

If I should die before I wake finish this damn test…. I pray the Lord my soul to take…. or something like that…

Acheivement Unlocked- 5,000 views!

Thank you all for making this possible. 5,000 views to my blog…sweet. Keep up the hard work everyone!

I’m not addicted…just blog- dependent

SO, I was reading Marko’s blog (as is customary) and I discovered that he is 75% addicted to blogging. Well. this interested me, so I decided to take the quiz myself, certain that I would fall well below the 75% achievement. Oh, I was oh so naive.

80% Blog AddictedHow Addicted to Blogging Are You?

How could this happen? I mean, sometimes Marko blogs like 50 times a day! I even took it a second time and answered more honestly. 80%????? Get out of here! Many people are more addicted than I! Tyler Ashworth will go on a blog rampage. Even Steve Knight has more blogs per capita than myself. I have found this quiz to be fundamentally flawed and therefore we, as Emergents, must now de-construct the hell out of it.
