That’s right my friends. I just found out that I will be sitting in one of the first 20 rows for the Def Leppard, Styx, Foreigner Concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. Sweet. You know what happens when you get three of the greatest bands in Rock History together? Musical Fusion the likes of which have never been seen by the eyes heard by the ears of men.

So, I spoke at the Baptist church yet again. The first thing that happened was: Some guy, that is a parent of two of the students and highly immersed in the Christian Sub-Culture, stood up and read this 3 page paper he wrote concerning my last speaking engagement on Sunday. He told me beforehand that this paper would, in no way, say anything about me. Ha. OK. Anyway, this paper was entirely about how his “Jesus Shirts” and his work shirts featuring both a “Jesus Fish” and a Cross are effective witnessing material. But that wasn’t the best part. Here is the best part. He claimed that anyone who listens to Led Zepplin or GodSmack, (insert choice other bands here) is clearly not a Christian. After all this, I smiled and continued with the Youth Lesson all the time being completely nervous for fear that this man may cut me down with some sort of sword.
This is for you man who does not “get the Led out”:

Chapter 1: Family
My Grandmother has been moving for the past week into her new “house/condo” in Matthews. This house cost $330,000.00. You heard right- $330,000.00. That is a heckuva lot of money. For that much money we could surely find a better use. Sorry, …just kinda makes me sick to my stomach. America…We’re soooo… rich. Well, she gave me some old BOSE speakers and a record player so I can now “get the Led out” on Classic Vinyl. Rock ON.
Chapter 2: Reading
I am attempting to read and Understand Being Reconciled by John Milbank. Holy Crap. I am also trying to read the latest Emergent book- An Emergent Manifesto of Hope. Anthony’s part is at the back and not very lengthy, but it is every bit as awesome as the rest of the book.
Chapter 3: Haircut
I have been getting my hair cut with a “number 1.” That’s as close to “bald” as you can get without commiting. On the bright side, there is now one part of me that isn’t “blinding white.”
Chapter 4: Guitar Hero II
Need I say more? Other than, I shred heavy on “Crazy on You” by Heart! Oh, also “Message in a Bottle” by The Police. However, all this is done on “Easy.”
Chapter 5: Speaking
I have spoken at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church twice so far and I go again tomorrow. It’s looking like I’ll be there twice in May as well. I enjoy speaking. I wish I could go to other places though. I am tired of speaking at this place.
Chapter 6: Low Fat
I’ve been eating less unhealthy stuff, however I feel that I am gaining weight. Weird. More to come on this.
Chapter 7: The King is Back
King of Queens: Season 8 comes out on DVD at the beginning of the month. “Awesome. Awesome to the Max.” {”That Guy” from the 80’s} Thanks Futurama.
Chapter 8: In the Spirit of Rocky and Bullwinkle- Tune in to find out:
Is everything old new again?
