I feel like I have a billion books I want to read and a thousand movies I want to watch. I haven’t had time to read or watch them. The heat has been getting to me.
And this is why:
Not this:
This:
It’s been “record-breaking heat of death” all week and it’s not done yet. Darn you Global Warming! I’ve been so fried after working in the hot sun all day that I haven’t felt like doing anything when I get home in the evening.
This is for you sun:
I hope you can see this, because I’m doing it as hard as I can.
Entertaining, Funny, Plot twists, Stunning Visual Effects, Pirates of Course
Bad Points:
Still a little too long, I feel like I have lost what the first movie was even about since the second two movies- so I guess lack of Continuity within the storyline
Bonus: Make sure you sit through the credits!
ΘΘΘ½- I give this movie 3 and 1/2 thetas out of a possible 5 theta rating.
Knocked Up
Good Points:
Funny, Funny, and Funny, Entertaining, Amazing picture of Love (from 2 people who barely know each other)
Bad Points:
A little too long
The Interesting:
Plenty of Drug Use, Many parts of Nudity (including childbirth scene) (I have never seen this in a movie before) I went in to this movie expecting PG-13 and got a rated R experience. No big deal…I just wasn’t prepared for it…haha.
ΘΘΘΘ- I give this movie 4 thetas out of a possible 5 theta rating.
Yes, I liked it that much. You may not. That’s OK- It’s what makes us all different.
So, this movie has not had the best feedback from all the viewers so far. However, I quite enjoyed it. Here’s why:
Entertainment Value = 9/10 Excellent……. I was absorbed by all this movie had to offer.
Themes of Forgiveness, Restoration, and Redemption
Theme of Overcoming Selfishness, Pride, and Revenge
Multiple scenes of hilarity coupled with dancing… yes… you heard it here first… I actually enjoyed the Tobey Maguire dancing scenes… ridiculous? maybe.
Action packed visual stimulation… Spidey as usual.
Web-Slinging Fun… Check.
Fight Sequences= 9.5/10 Rockin’- Spiderman getting smashed by sand, cut to pieces, and not to mention slapped, punched, and thrown through every object possible (favorite object is apparently “buildings”)
Lacking:
The awesome comeback we saw in Spiderman 2 when Spidey catches the brick wall about to fall on M.J. and reveals his true identity and love for M.J. (but can you really do this twice??)
Spideman 3 may jump around a bit too much, refusing to focus on development of some characters and storyline
Some parts are a little dorky, but hey, it’s a movie based on a comic book… not Schindler’s List.
Overall: 9.0/10.0 Awesome
I enjoyed this movie. I’m trying not to be too analytical. It was fun, and a decent 3rd installment with some great story and fight scenes.
